Summary
CVE-2023-25082 is a buffer overflow vulnerability affecting the vtysh_ubus binary of Milesight UR32L v32.3.0.5. The issue arises due to the use of an unsafe sprintf pattern, allowing a maliciously crafted HTTP request to cause arbitrary code execution. An attacker with high privileges can exploit this vulnerability by sending specific HTTP requests to the targeted device. The buffer overflow specifically occurs in the firewall_handler_set function, where the old_ip and old_mac variables are involved.
