CVE-2023-2507, known as CleverTap Cordova Plugin vulnerability, affects version 2.6.2 of the plugin. It allows a remote attacker to execute JavaScript code in any application opened through a specially constructed deeplink. The vulnerability exists because the plugin fails to correctly validate data from deeplinks before using them. This vulnerability poses a medium to critical risk, with a base severity score ranging from 6.1 to 9.3 out of 10. Organizations using affected versions of the CleverTap Cordova Plugin should apply remediation measures promptly to mitigate the potential impact on confidentiality and integrity.
