Summary

CVE-2023-2439 is a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the UserPro plugin for WordPress. This issue, present in versions up to 5.1.5, allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level permissions and above to inject malicious scripts. The vulnerability stems from insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes within the 'userpro' shortcode. Successful exploitation enables attackers to execute their code whenever a user accesses an injected page.
