Summary
CVE-2023-23763 is a vulnerability affecting GitHub Enterprise Server where a forked repository retains read access to an upstream repository even after its visibility is changed to private. This issue, reported via the GitHub Bug Bounty program, poses an authorization/sensitive information disclosure risk and impacts all versions of GitHub Enterprise Server prior to 3.10.0. The vulnerability was addressed with the release of versions 3.9.4, 3.8.9, 3.7.16, and 3.6.18.
