Summary
CVE-2023-23632 is a local authentication bypass vulnerability affecting BeyondTrust Privileged Remote Access (PRA) versions 22.2.x to 22.4.x. The issue resides in the BYOT (Bring Your Own Terminal) shell jump sessions, where a flawed secret verification process allows attackers to bypass authentication. By guessing the initial character of a secret, unauthorized users can gain access to jump items, potentially leading to privilege escalation and unintended system access.
