Summary

CVE-2023-22844 is a newly discovered vulnerability affecting Milesight VPN v2.0.2. The issue lies within the verifyToken functionality of requestHandlers.js, where an authentication bypass can be triggered. A maliciously crafted network request can exploit this vulnerability, permitting an attacker to bypass authentication and gain unauthorized access to the system. This could potentially result in data theft, unauthorized system modifications, or other malicious activities. It is strongly recommended that users update to the latest version of Milesight VPN to mitigate this risk.
