Summary
CVE-2023-20260 is a vulnerability that affects the application CLI of Cisco Prime Infrastructure and Cisco Evolved Programmable Network Manager. It allows an authenticated, local attacker to gain escalated privileges by exploiting improper processing of command line arguments. The attacker can issue a command with malicious options to exploit this vulnerability. If successfully exploited, the attacker can gain root user privileges on the underlying operating system. This vulnerability has a base severity rating of MEDIUM and poses a high risk to organizations as it can result in unauthorized access and control over affected systems.
