Summary
CVE-2023-20196 refers to two vulnerabilities in Cisco ISE that allow authenticated, remote attackers to upload arbitrary files to affected devices. To exploit these vulnerabilities, an attacker needs valid Administrator credentials. These vulnerabilities arise due to insufficient validation of uploaded files in the web-based management interface. An attacker could exploit these flaws by uploading a maliciously crafted file, potentially allowing them to store and later use malicious files on the device, ultimately leading to the execution of arbitrary code with root privileges.
