Summary
CVE-2023-20181 is a vulnerability affecting the web-based management interface of Cisco Small Business SPA500 Series IP Phones. This issue permits unauthenticated, remote attackers to execute Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) attacks. The vulnerability arises due to inadequate input validation in the interface, enabling an attacker to inject malicious scripts. A user could be tricked into clicking a specially crafted link, potentially leading to the execution of arbitrary code in the affected interface or unauthorized access to sensitive information.
