Summary

CVE-2023-20170 is a vulnerability that affects specific Cisco ISE CLI command. It allows an authenticated, local attacker with Administrator-level privileges to perform command injection attacks on the underlying operating system and gain root privileges. The vulnerability arises due to insufficient validation of user-supplied input. To exploit this vulnerability, an attacker must submit a crafted CLI command. This vulnerability poses a medium risk to organizations as it could lead to unauthorized access and control of the affected device.
