Summary

CVE-2023-20170 is a vulnerability that affects specific Cisco ISE CLI command. It allows an authenticated, local attacker with Administrator-level privileges to perform command injection attacks on the underlying operating system and gain root privileges. The vulnerability arises due to insufficient validation of user-supplied input. To exploit this vulnerability, an attacker must submit a crafted CLI command. This vulnerability poses a medium risk to organizations as it could lead to unauthorized access and control of the affected device. Cisco has not provided any remediation steps or patches for this vulnerability at this time.
