Summary

CVE-2023-1602 is a vulnerability found in the Short URL plugin for WordPress versions up to and including 1.6.4. This vulnerability allows authenticated attackers with administrator-level permissions to inject arbitrary web scripts through the 'comment' parameter, due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. As a result, these scripts can be executed whenever a user accesses an injected page. The vulnerability has a CVSS base score of 4.8, indicating a medium severity level. It affects multiple products and has the potential to pose a danger to organizations using the affected versions of the plugin if not remediated promptly.
