Details
Summary
CVE-2023-1401 is a vulnerability affecting GitLab DAST (Dynamic Application Security Testing) scanner versions 3.0.29 and earlier, up to 4.0.5. During the authorization process, the DAST scanner inadvertently leaks cross-site cookies upon redirect, posing a security risk. An attacker could potentially intercept and use these cookies to gain unauthorized access to user sessions. This issue could lead to serious data breaches or unauthorized actions within the affected GitLab environments. Users are strongly advised to upgrade to a patched version of the DAST scanner as soon as possible to mitigate this risk.
