Summary
CVE-2023-1356 is a reflected cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting IDAttend's IDWeb application version 3.1.052 and earlier. This issue enables attackers to inject malicious scripts into the StudentSearch component, which can then be executed in the context of the victim's browser when they click on a malicious link. Successful exploitation of this vulnerability allows the attacker to hijack the user's browsing session, potentially gaining unauthorized access to sensitive information. Users are advised to update their software as soon as possible to mitigate this risk.
