Summary

CVE-2021-4426 is a Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) vulnerability affecting the Absolute Reviews plugin for WordPress. Versions up to and including 1.0.8 are impacted by this issue. The root cause is a missing or incorrect nonce validation on the metabox_review_save() function. As a result, unauthenticated attackers can manipulate meta tags by tricking administrators into performing certain actions, such as clicking on a malicious link. This weakness could lead to potential data modification and site compromise. It is recommended that users update to the latest plugin version to mitigate this risk.
