Summary

CVE-2021-4417 is a vulnerability found in the Forminator – Contact Form, Payment Form & Custom Form Builder plugin for WordPress, affecting versions up to and including 1.13.4. The vulnerability allows unauthenticated attackers to perform Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) by exploiting missing or incorrect nonce validation on the listen_for_saving_export_schedule() function. This enables attackers to export form submissions through forged requests if they can deceive a site administrator into taking an action such as clicking on a link. The potential danger of this vulnerability lies in unauthorized access to sensitive form submissions, posing a risk to the confidentiality and integrity of an organization's data. To remediate this issue, users should update the affected plugin to the latest version that addresses the CSRF vulnerability.
