Summary

CVE-2021-4415 is a Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) vulnerability affecting the Sunshine Photo Cart plugin for WordPress versions up to and including 2.8.28. The vulnerability arises from missing or incorrect nonce validation in the sunshine_products_quicksave_post() function, allowing unauthenticated attackers to save custom post data through a forged request if they can deceive a site administrator into taking an action, such as clicking on a malicious link. This vulnerability has a base severity rating of MEDIUM, with a base score of 4.3 according to CVSS:3.1. It poses a potential danger to organizations using the affected plugin, as it enables unauthorized modification of post data on compromised websites.
