Summary

CVE-2021-4408 is a Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) vulnerability affecting the DW Question & Answer plugin for WordPress. Versions up to and including 1.5.8 are susceptible to this issue. The root cause is the lack of proper nonce validation in the update_answer() function, leading to unauthenticated attackers being able to manipulate answer contents. By tricking a site administrator into executing a malicious action, such as clicking on a specially crafted link, attackers can exploit this vulnerability and make unwanted changes to answers on affected websites.
