Summary
CVE-2021-4407 is a Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) vulnerability affecting the Custom Banners plugin for WordPress. This issue, present in versions up to 3.2.2, arises due to insufficient nonce validation within the saveCustomFields() function. As a result, an attacker can manipulate unauthenticated requests to save custom fields when a site administrator performs a specific action, such as clicking on a malicious link. Successful exploitation of this vulnerability can lead to unauthorized modifications to the WordPress site.
