Summary

CVE-2021-4401 is a vulnerability in the Style Kits plugin for WordPress versions up to and including 1.8.0. The vulnerability arises from missing or incorrect nonce validation on the update_posts_stylekit() function, enabling unauthenticated attackers to update style kits for posts through forged requests if they can trick a site administrator into taking action, such as clicking on a link. The vulnerability has a high severity rating and poses a potential danger to organizations, with a high impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability. The affected products include various versions of rubXOn, rubXOm, rubXOl, and others. To remediate the vulnerability, users should update the Style Kits plugin to a version that includes the necessary nonce validation fixes.
