Summary

CVE-2021-4397 is a Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) vulnerability affecting the Staff Directory Plugin for WordPress. Versions up to and including 3.6 are impacted by this issue. The root cause is insufficient or missing nonce validation in the saveCustomFields() function, enabling unauthenticated attackers to manipulate custom fields through forged requests. To exploit this vulnerability, an attacker must persuade a site administrator to execute a malicious link, leading to potential data modification or unauthorized actions.
