Summary

CVE-2021-4395, also known as the Abandoned Cart Recovery for WooCommerce plugin vulnerability, affects versions up to and including 1.0.4 of the plugin for WordPress. The vulnerability is due to missing or incorrect nonce validation on the get_items() and extra_tablenav() functions. This allows unauthenticated attackers to perform read-only actions through forged requests if they can deceive a site administrator into clicking on a link. The potential danger posed by this vulnerability is categorized as medium to high, with a base severity score of 6.5 out of 10, according to NVD (National Vulnerability Database). To remediate the issue, users should update their plugin to a version that includes proper nonce validation and ensure that site administrators are cautious when clicking on links from untrusted sources.
