Summary

CVE-2020-36741 is a Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) vulnerability affecting the MultiVendorX plugin for WordPress. Versions up to and including 3.5.7 are susceptible to this issue. The root cause is insufficient nonce validation on the submit_comment() function, enabling unauthenticated attackers to submit comments using forged requests. To exploit this vulnerability, an attacker needs to trick a site administrator into performing a specific action, such as clicking a malicious link. Successful exploitation could potentially lead to unauthorized comment submissions and other unwanted actions on the affected WordPress site.
