Webcast Video: Analyzing the Bin Laden Letters

Earlier this year, the Combating Terrorism Center at West Point released 17 letters (175 pages) discovered in the Abbottabad compound where Osama bin Laden was discovered and killed last year. The documents were made available as part of a report entitled “Letters from Abbottabad: Bin Ladin Sidelined?

This webcast describes how we applied temporal analytics to the letters and visualized the resulting data. Analyses include an overview of the letters, mapping Bin Laden’s reach into Yemen, reactions in the Islamist blogosphere, and Lines of Communication in Pakistan.
