Summary

CVE-2025-43962 is a vulnerability affecting LibRaw, a popular open-source library used for reading and decoding various image file formats. This issue lies in the 'phase_one_correct' function of 'decoders/load_mfbacks.cpp'. The issue results in out-of-bounds reads when processing image tags with a value of 0x412. This vulnerability can be triggered by large w0 or w1 values or inaccurate frac and mult calculations. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability to gain unauthorized access to memory or cause the application to crash, potentially allowing for further exploitation.
