Summary
CVE-2025-4088 is a newly disclosed vulnerability in Thunderbird and Firefox versions prior to 138. Malicious sites can exploit this issue by using redirects to send credentialed requests to arbitrary endpoints on websites that have invoked the Storage Access API. This vulnerability potentially enables Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) attacks, allowing unauthorized actions to be taken across different origins. Users are advised to update their Thunderbird and Firefox browsers to the latest version to mitigate this risk.
