Summary

CVE-2025-4035 is a vulnerability affecting libsoup, a popular library used for handling HTTP and SOCKS connections in GNOME applications. The issue lies in the way libsoup handles cookies for public suffix domains. If a domain name contains at least two components and includes an uppercase character, libsoup incorrectly permits cookies to be set, bypassing public suffix protections. This could enable a malicious website to set cookies for domains it does not own, resulting in potential integrity issues including session fixation.
