Summary

CVE-2025-3457 is a Stored Cross-Site Scripting vulnerability affecting the Ocean Extra plugin for WordPress. This issue, present in all versions up to 2.4.6, allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level access or higher to inject arbitrary web scripts. The vulnerability stems from insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes within the 'oceanwp_icon' shortcode. Consequently, any page containing an injected script will execute the malicious code whenever a user accesses it.
