Summary
CVE-2025-32433 is a critical vulnerability affecting Erlang/OTP, a popular set of libraries used in the Erlang programming language, prior to versions OTP-27.3.3, OTP-26.2.5.11, and OTP-25.3.2.20. The vulnerability enables an unauthenticated remote code execution (RCE) attack, allowing malicious actors to execute arbitrary commands on affected systems via a flaw in SSH protocol message handling. This issue poses a significant risk as it grants unauthorized access without the need for valid credentials. The vulnerability is patched in versions OTP-27.3.3, OTP-26.2.5.11, and OTP-25.3.2.20. A temporary workaround includes disabling the SSH server or restricting access via firewall rules.
