Summary
CVE-2025-30355 is a vulnerability affecting Synapse, an open-source Matrix homeserver implementation. Malicious servers can craft specific events that prevent Synapse versions up to 1.127.0 from communicating with other servers, resulting in a federation denial-of-service. This issue has been observed in real-world attacks and is now mitigated in Synapse version 1.127.1. Unfortunately, no known workarounds are available for affected installations before upgrading.
