Summary
CVE-2025-29783 is a remote code execution vulnerability affecting vLLM, a high-throughput inference and serving engine. When configured with Mooncake for distributed KV storage, vLLM exhibits an unsafe deserialization issue over ZMQ/TCP on all network interfaces. This flaw allows attackers to execute arbitrary code on targeted hosts, posing a significant risk to deployments utilizing Mooncake for distributed storage. The vulnerability has been rectified in vLLM version 0.8.0.
