Summary
CVE-2025-2815 is a vulnerability in the Administrator Z plugin for WordPress. This issue allows authenticated attackers, even those with Subscriber-level access, to modify data without proper capability checks on the adminz_import_backup() function. This can lead to privilege escalation and the update of arbitrary options, including the default role for registration, to administrator. Attackers can thereby gain administrative user access to vulnerable sites. Versions up to, and including, 2025.03.24 are affected.
