Summary

CVE-2025-27571 is a vulnerability affecting Mattermost versions 10.5.x up to 10.5.1, 10.4.x up to 10.4.3, and 9.11.x up to 9.11.9. This issue arises due to a misconfiguration in how these versions handle channel metadata in archived channels. Specifically, the software fails to consider the "Allow Users to View Archived Channels" setting when granting access to archived channel information. Consequently, authenticated users are able to access such data even when a channel has been archived. This vulnerability may result in unintended information disclosure.
