Summary
CVE-2025-26640 is a newly disclosed vulnerability affecting Windows Digital Media. This issue grants authorized attackers local privilege escalation capabilities through a use-after-free condition. By manipulating the Digital Media application, an attacker can trigger memory corruption, leading to a privilege escalation vulnerability. Successful exploitation of this vulnerability could allow the attacker to gain higher-level system access and potentially install malicious software or take control of the affected system.
