Summary
CVE-2025-2531 is a heap-based buffer overflow vulnerability in Luxion KeyShot's DAE file parsing feature. This issue allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on affected installations by supplying maliciously crafted data. The flaw arises from insufficient validation of user-supplied data lengths before copying it to a heap buffer. Exploitation requires user interaction, such as visiting a malicious webpage or opening a malicious file. This vulnerability, identified as ZDI-CAN-23704, can lead to serious security consequences if left unaddressed.
