Summary
CVE-2025-2516 is a vulnerability affecting WPS Office (Kingsoft) on Windows. The issue stems from the software's weak cryptographic key pair used in signature verification. An attacker with the ability to recover the private key can sign components, potentially leading to a security breach. Moreover, older versions of WPS Office did not validate the update server's certificate, making Man-in-the-Middle (MitM) attacks possible. This security flaw could result in unauthorized software updates, putting users at risk.
