Summary
CVE-2025-23840 is a Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting WP-NOTCAPTCHA, a WordPress plugin used for preventing bots from accessing forms. The issue lies in the plugin's web page generation process, which fails to neutralize user inputs properly. As a result, an attacker can inject malicious scripts into a webpage, potentially stealing sensitive information or taking control of user sessions. The vulnerability can be exploited in WP-NOTCAPTCHA versions from n/a through 1.3.1.
