Summary
CVE-2025-23798 is a Cross-site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the Mass Messaging feature in BuddyPress version 2.2.1 and below. An attacker can exploit this improper input neutralization during web page generation to inject malicious scripts into messages, allowing them to execute arbitrary code in the context of the targeted user's browser. Successful exploitation could lead to session hijacking, data theft, or other unauthorized actions. Users are advised to update their BuddyPress installations immediately to mitigate this risk.
