Summary

CVE-2025-23047 is a vulnerability affecting Cilium, a networking, observability, and security solution. Insecure default `Access-Control-Allow-Origin` headers in Cilium versions 1.14.0 to 1.14.7, 1.15.0 to 1.15.11, and 1.16.0 to 1.16.4 allow unauthorized access to sensitive data when deploying Hubble UI. This exposure includes Kubernetes cluster configuration details, such as node names, IP addresses, and metadata about workloads and networking. For an attacker to exploit this issue, a user would first need to visit a malicious page. This vulnerability has been addressed in Cilium v1.14.18, v1.15.12, and v1.16.5. As a workaround, users deploying Hubble UI via the Cilium Helm chart can remove the CORS headers from the Helm template.
