In versions up to 1.6.8, the 'register_user' function is vulnerable. This issue grants authenticated attackers, with Contributor-level access and above, the ability to extract sensitive information such as usernames and passwords from newly registered users. Attackers can exploit this vulnerability by manipulating email notifications for successful registrations.
