Summary
CVE-2025-21723 is a vulnerability in the Linux kernel's SCSI subsystem. When setting up a Block Serial Granule (BSG) queue fails, the queue is not properly cleared, leading to a NULL pointer dereference in mpi3mr_bsg_exit(). This could result in a kernel crash with the message "BUG: kernel NULL pointer dereference" and the call trace indicating the failure in vfs_write() and ksys_write(). The vulnerability affects the mpi3mr driver and can potentially be exploited to cause a system crash. The issue has been resolved in the latest kernel update.
