Summary

CVE-2025-21667 is a vulnerability affecting Linux kernels where a mistake in the iomap function could lead to an infinite loop when writing to an XFS filesystem on 32-bit systems. The issue arises due to the misinterpretation of a 64-bit offset as a 32-bit value during iomap_write_delalloc_scan() function, which in turn results in folio_next_index() returning an incorrect value. This flaw could potentially cause significant disruptions in systems using the XFS filesystem on 32-bit Linux kernels. This vulnerability has now been resolved.
