Summary
CVE-2025-21407 is a remote code execution vulnerability affecting the Windows Telephony Service. An attacker can exploit this flaw by sending a specially crafted RTP (Real-time Transport Protocol) packet to a targeted system. Successful exploitation grants the attacker the ability to execute arbitrary code with system level privileges. This vulnerability poses a significant risk to Windows systems that support the affected telephony service and could lead to serious consequences, including data theft or system compromise. Microsoft has released a patch to address this issue, and all affected systems should be updated as soon as possible to mitigate the risk.
