Summary
CVE-2025-21252 is a remote code execution vulnerability affecting the Windows Telephony Service. An attacker can exploit this flaw by sending a specially crafted RTP (Real-time Transport Protocol) packet to a targeted system, leading to arbitrary code execution. Successful exploitation allows the attacker to gain the same user rights as the local system account. This vulnerability poses a significant risk, particularly for organizations with telecommunication systems, as it can be exploited remotely over the network. It is recommended that affected systems be updated with the Microsoft Security Bulletin MS22-053 to mitigate this threat.
