Summary
CVE-2025-20178 is a vulnerability affecting the web-based management interface of Cisco Secure Network Analytics. An authenticated, remote attacker with valid administrative credentials can take advantage of insufficient integrity checks within device backup files, allowing them to execute arbitrary commands as root on the underlying operating system. This issue arises from the restoration of a maliciously crafted backup file, leading to potential shell access with root privileges for the attacker.
