Details
Summary
CVE-2025-1410 is a stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the Events Calendar Made Simple – Pie Calendar plugin for WordPress. This issue, present in all versions up to 1.2.5, allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level access or higher to inject malicious scripts via the plugin's piecal shortcode. The insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes in the plugin make it possible for the attacker to execute their scripts whenever a user accesses an injected page. This can lead to unintended actions, such as stealing user data or taking control of the WordPress site. Users are advised to update the plugin to the latest version or consider disabling the plugin until a fix is available.
