Summary

CVE-2025-1403 is a denial-of-service vulnerability affecting Qiskit SDK versions 0.45.0 through 1.2.4. A maliciously crafted QPY file with a malformed symengine serialization stream can trigger a segfault within the symengine library, causing the software to crash and become unresponsive. This issue may allow remote attackers to induce a denial-of-service condition on targeted systems. Users are advised to update their Qiskit SDK installations to the latest, patched version to mitigate this risk.
