Summary

CVE-2025-1293 is a vulnerability affecting Hermes versions up to 0.4.0. The issue lies in the way Hermes validates JSON Web Tokens (JWT) during authentication using Amazon Application Load Balancer (ALB) mode. An adversary could exploit this weakness by providing an invalid JWT, bypassing the authentication process. This security flaw, identified as CVE-2025-1293, has been addressed in Hermes 0.5.0 with proper JWT validation implementation.
