Summary
CVE-2025-1194: A significant vulnerability was discovered in the huggingface/transformers library's SubWordJapaneseTokenizer class of the GPT-NeoX-Japanese model (file: `tokenization_gpt_neox_japanese.py`). This issue lies in a Regular Expression Denial of Service (ReDoS) vulnerability, wherein certain regex patterns exhibit exponential complexity during the processing of specially crafted inputs. This condition can lead to excessive backtracking, causing high CPU usage and potential application downtime, resulting in a Denial of Service (DoS) scenario. The affected version is version 4.48.1.
