CVE-2025-0823

Summary

CVE-2025-0823 is a vulnerability affecting IBM Cognos Analytics versions 11.2.0 through 11.2.4 FP5 and 12.0.0 through 12.0.4. This issue allows a remote attacker to traverse directories on the system by sending a specially crafted URL request containing "dot dot" sequences (/../). As a result, the attacker could potentially gain unauthorized access to arbitrary files on the system, posing a significant security risk. IBM has released patches to address this vulnerability, and it is recommended that affected users apply these patches as soon as possible.
