Details
Summary
CVE-2025-0454 is a Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) vulnerability discovered in the Requests utility of significant-gravitas/autogpt before version 0.4.0. The issue stems from a hostname confusion between the `urlparse` function from the `urllib.parse` library and the `requests` library. A malicious user can take advantage of this by submitting a carefully crafted URL, such as `http://localhost:\\@google.com/../`, to bypass the SSRF check and execute an SSRF attack. This vulnerability may allow an attacker to make unauthorized requests to internal resources or potentially gain access to sensitive data. Users are strongly advised to upgrade to the latest version of autogpt to mitigate this risk.
